KILL SWITCHES REQUIRED...
Apr 20th, 2009, 3:36pm

JUST A REMINDER IXCR WILL REQUIRE TETHERS ON ATVS AND KILL SWITCHES ON ALL DIRTBIKES ... YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO GO THRU TECH INSPECTION NO TEHTER OR KILL SWITCH NO RACING FOR YOU.

I was just informed that you will need to have this by the 2nd event if you don't have one for round one then you will be warned and your name taken, if at round 2 you don't have one then you will NOT be allowed to race...

ok LUCKILY i just stumbled upon this.  can we get some staff members to update the site?  there's NO rules posted in the rules link, and there's only a couple FAQ's.  I didn't know there HAD to be kill switches, so now I only have a few days to buy the stuff and get it installed.

will someone PLEASE post EVERYTHING a first time racer would need to know before I get to LCRP this weekend?  I just don't want to show up missing something and be sent home, I'd be pretty pissy...

It is posted in the 2009 rules. There is vendors at the race that sell them and can install them. If they are out, let tech inspection know.

"37. All machines and rider helmets must be taken through Tech Inspection prior to racing for the purpose of inspecting barcode placement, number assignment, and contingency eligibility. Safety equipment and machine eligibility are the sole responsibility of the rider."

I think what he is getting at is that it does not say anything about the teather or kill switches in the rules. Maybe I missed it earlier in the rules but I tried scanning threw them.

"EQUIPMENT:

1. All machines must have silencers.
2. The machine a rider leaves the starting line on is the official machine of the rider for that event, and he may not switch during the event.
3. All ATV’s must have a working tether is required.
4. No rider is allowed to carry gasoline, except inside his machine's fuel tank.
5. Helmet, goggles, above the ankle boots, gloves, long sleeve shirt and long pants are required for all riders.
6. Safety equipment and machine eligibility are the sole responsibility of the rider and may be tested at anytime prior to, during or after event."

I stand corrected, all the way at the Bottom. Sorry about that.
