Pee Wee races
Jul 31st, 2010, 11:01am

Jeffro and crew,

Great job at Perfect North and Circle Ridge, looking forward to Holton(we're officially hooked). I know that you guys don't have neeeeeaar enough to do, but what are the odds of getting some peewee bike (crf50,tt50 fourstroke/little 2smokers sorta stuff)classes? I have two little guys 6 & 8 that are absolutely wearing me out to race, but they aren't ready to ride with kids on 85's. Has there been any interest in the little guys? Would it help if I was willing to take on some/most of the responsability of getting it together, setting up a shorter course??

What about the rest of you guys? Got any little guys that want to race bikes?????

We used to have 50cc races but only had a few show up. We had to add a third track and really made the schedule on race day even tighter. Its hard because you don't want to push back the atvs because some guys drive over 3-4 hours to race and puts them home so late.

There is never a bad idea though. Maybe in the future we will revisit this decision

I also have  a pee wee racer chomping at the bit to get out and mix it up. I would like to see it added to the classes. I dont think they need to be at every round but, lets get our racers of tomorrow a chance to race.  Maybe only during summer when we stand a better chance of good weather . One 30 min moto. Seems like this could be squeezed it a few time a year with help from parents to keep things on time.  We lose more than 30 min every race day during the youth races anyway. I would help at pee wee race days  to keep the youth  classes on time also. The other option is make a youth tri-athlon day.  A short ,moto race, harescramble  , and obstacle course , all for youth only , and involve the pee wees in that.  I know this would take work from all of us to make happen but it is a day invested in the future of our sport. And the kids are worth it.  I have been involved in these days with the SOCCS and the kids love it.
